Effective 2026-05-24. This is a v1 stub. By using Acumora you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Acumora is an educational software service that provides cross-curriculum learning tools, an AI study tutor, and a Pathway Information Explorer. The Pathway Information Explorer is an information tool only; see our Disclaimer for its specific scope and limitations.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to register, or have a parent or legal guardian register on your behalf. Account information must be accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Misrepresent the service's outputs as professional advice, official admissions determinations, or government endorsements.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product from our curated data, rule citations, or threshold history.
- Submit information about others without their authorisation.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges at the displayed price until you cancel. Cancel any time through the customer portal at /billing; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Refunds are handled case-by-case at our discretion; statutory cooling-off rights in your jurisdiction always apply.
5. Intellectual property
Acumora and the Acumora brand are our property. The curriculum cross-walks, the pathway rule citations, and the layout of the Pathway Information Explorer are our work product. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. Quoting specific cited sources in your own correspondence is allowed; bulk redistribution of our compiled data is not.
6. No professional advice
The Pathway Information Explorer is an information tool, not legal, immigration, or admissions advice. The AI tutor and curriculum tools are study aids, not certified academic instruction. You agree to verify any output against authoritative sources and consult a licensed professional before acting on any decision with legal, financial, or educational consequences.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, currency, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acumora's total cumulative liability arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Acumora in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including lost admissions opportunities, denied applications, or financial loss arising from reliance on the service's outputs.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Acumora against any claim arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of false or unauthorised information.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operating jurisdiction of Acumora. Disputes will first be raised by email to hello@acumora.com for good-faith resolution. Unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance.
